Dead Rising 2: Case Zero – Achievement Guide

Spiked Bat = Baseball Bat + Box of Nails — Both items are located right next to the Maintenance Table in the Gas Station.
Drill Bucket = Power Drill + Bucket — Both of these items are located in the car junkyard behind the Gas Station.
I.E.D. = Box of Nails + Propane Tank — Propane Tank is is behind car in Maintenance Room. There is a Box of Nails both by the Maintenance Table and also loads more boxes inside the Gas Station store.
Molotov = Newspaper + Whiskey — There are 3 bottles of Beer on the roof by Bob Blackrock, There is a Newspaper on the bed in the Hotel and also on the ground on the streets by the Newspaper Boxes.
Beer Hat = Construction Hat + Bear — Construction Hat is on the roof corner right after the wooden bridge after Mommas. Beer can be gotten in the Dirty Drink or after 0-3 by Bob on the roof.
Air Horn = Phylon + Spray Paint — The Phylon is in the Quarantine Zone on the way to the Ambulance or to the left of the Movie Theatre. The Green Spray Paint is behind the Sheriff’s Office.
Boomstick = Shotgun + Pitch Fork — The shotgun is on the top floor of the Sheriff’s Office and the Pitch Fork is in the Dirty Drink.
Paddlesaw = Paddle + Chainsaw — Paddle is to the left of the building to the left of the Sheriff’s Office. The Chainsaw is in the Hardware store near the Quarantine Zone.
Electric Rake = Rake + Battery — The Rake is in the Hardware Store and the Battery is on a dumpster behind the Movie Theatre.

I wouldn’t focus on this on the first playthrough. Getting everything else done is going to take some concentration. Easiest way is to get through to Case 0-2 and at the end with the push cart mow through the Zombies. Since it’s part of the story it won’t get destroyed with use. It does get knocked over if you hit a curb too fast though. This 1000 has to be 1 playthrough, not 1 Save. Just keep going circles around the main area till you get to 1K.

You get $15k from Gemini when you rescue her. If you rescue both Gemini and Fausto then you get get a side quest from Gemini back at the Gas Station to go get $25k in Gems at the Quarantine Zone. Other then that the only money is from busting slots and ATMs. The Casino is the easiest. It resets every time you go back to your base. It has to be one file, but not one playthrough. I got over half in my actual playthrough so it’s not hard. Shoot for 2 Zombrex, the Wheel & the Hint in the first playthrough for 56k.

After you rescue Dick from on top of the Van at the start of Case 0-4 he will open up the Pawnshop. For $1,000 he will sell you a clue as to where the bike parts are. Because you have this guide you don’t need the clue but because you are an achievement whore you’re going to fork over the $1,000 for information you don’t even need.

This is the main part of the story and you need to find 5 bike parts in Case 0-4 to rebuild the bike.

Wheel – Bought from Dick after rescuing him from on top of the van at the start of 0-4 right in front of the Gas Station. It’s $5000. Casino is across the street, just bash all the slot machines to get some easy money.
Gasoline Casinster – Right in front of the Gas Station by the pumps.
Bike Forks – In a Shed between the Quarantine Zone and Big Buck Hardware. The key is located on the back left room of the Hotel.
Handle Bars – Being used currently by Jason Wong behind Uncle Bill’s Department Store. He will trade you for a Broadsword. The Broadsword is on the awning above Momma’s Diner or inside Bob’s Fish ‘n Hunt. They both are reached the first time by jumping around the awnings from Bill’s location.
Engine – In the alley next to the Movie Theatres.

There are 4:

1- Shed – The key is in the back left of the Hotel. The shed is between the Hardware Store and the Quarantine Zone. You need to go here for the Forks for the Bike.
2- Bob’s Fish ‘n Hunt – From Bob work your way around the roof to the front of Momma’s. Climb up Momma’s roof and take the small wooden bridge. Continue around the right and then drop down into Bobs.
3- Sheriff’s Office – Jump over the dumpster by the bowling alley to get to the back area. Then go in the back door of the Sheriff’s Office and unlock the front door.
4- Movie Theatre – Just go in the front door and then go to the actual theatre part with the screen and unlock the door.

BE PREPARED. This battle will start automatically when you give Katey the Zombrex. Go into it with 1 or 2 assault rifles and 2 OJs and your Nail Bat to make it easier. I suggest 2 Assault Rifles as his close up attacks are MONSTER.

1 & 2 – Gemini & Fausto – These two are in the Dirty Drink as soon as you start looking for the Bike Parts. You need to give Fausto two drinks from the bar. You get $15k for leading them back.
3, 4 & 5 – Tia, Nikki & Sharon – 1 PM – Go to the Bowling Alley and Nikki and Tia will tell you they need to you to go get Sharon from the Quarantine Zone. She needs Zombrex and you have to carry her but not that big a deal.
6 & 7 – Archie & Jason – They are behind Uncle Bill’s Department Store. They have the Handlebars you need but require a Broadsword from Bob’s Fish ‘n Hunt for trade.
8 & 9 – Bob & Darcie – After Jed talk to Bob on the roof. Then to Darcie in Bob’s Fish. Then back to Bob and finally with Bob to Darcie to the Gas Station.

Just get Ending A. Give Katey the Zombrex and get the bike put together in time and ride it out of the city.
